Frequently Asked Questions

Photography Services‍

What types of photography do you specialise in?

‍I specialise in portrait, event, editorial, documentary and travel photography, with a strong emphasis on natural imagery and visual storytelling. I also work on landscape and nature projects and create selected Fine Art Prints. My approach is centred on authentic moments, atmosphere and images that tell a meaningful story. ‍

Where are you based?

‍I am based in Budapest, Hungary, and work with individuals, businesses, publications and creative clients locally and internationally. I am available for assignments throughout Hungary as well as selected projects abroad.

Do you offer portrait and professional headshot sessions?

‍Yes. I offer personal portraits, professional headshots and creative or editorial portrait sessions. Each session is tailored to your personality, purpose and preferred visual style. I particularly enjoy working in natural or carefully selected environments that complement the character of the portrait.

Do you photograph events?

‍Yes. I photograph private, corporate, cultural and creative events. My approach is primarily documentary, focusing on atmosphere, genuine interactions and important moments without unnecessarily interrupting the natural flow of the event.

Do you work with magazines, publications and brands?

‍Yes. I create editorial and digital imagery for magazines, publications, websites, businesses and brands. Projects can include editorial photography, visual storytelling, portraits, documentary assignments, travel features and image series created specifically to support a publication or brand narrative.

Can you work on custom or documentary projects?

‍Absolutely. I welcome projects that do not fit neatly into a standard photography package. This may include documentary stories, travel assignments, cultural projects, visual essays, collaborations or other creative concepts. If you have an idea, we can discuss how to shape it into a strong visual story.

Booking & Pricing

How can I book a photography session or assignment?

‍The easiest way is to contact me through the website or by email at peter@peternemeth.com. Please include a short description of your project, preferred date, location and intended use of the photographs. I will review your enquiry and normally respond within 24 hours.

How much does a photography session cost?

‍Pricing depends on the type, duration, location and requirements of the project. Portrait sessions currently start from HUF 50,000, while events, editorial assignments and custom projects are individually quoted. Please contact me with a few details about your requirements and I will prepare a tailored quote.

Do you travel for photography assignments?

‍Yes. I am available for photography assignments throughout Hungary and internationally. Travel and accommodation costs may apply depending on the location and scope of the project and will always be discussed in advance as part of the quotation.

Your Photography Session

What should I wear for a portrait session?

‍Choose clothing that feels natural to you and suits the purpose of the photographs. Simple, well-fitting pieces and neutral or complementary colours generally photograph well. Before the session, I am happy to discuss clothing, location and the overall visual direction so that everything works together naturally.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable for an outdoor session?

‍Weather is part of working on location, and sometimes it can even add atmosphere to the photographs. If conditions make the session impractical or unsafe, we can adjust the location, timing or arrange another date. Any changes will be discussed with you before the shoot.

Editing & Delivery

How long does it take to receive the edited photos after a session?

‍Final edited photographs are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks after the session or assignment. Delivery time may vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. For larger events, editorial assignments or extensive retouching, an estimated delivery schedule will be agreed in advance.

How will I receive my photographs?

‍Final photographs are normally delivered digitally in high resolution through a private or secure online gallery. Where appropriate, web-optimised versions can also be provided for websites, social media or digital publication.

Are all photographs professionally edited?

‍Yes. Every final image is carefully selected and professionally edited to ensure consistency, natural colour, balanced contrast and a polished finish. Portraits may also receive appropriate retouching while maintaining a natural appearance.

Can I request additional retouching?

‍Yes. Specific retouching requests can be discussed depending on the project. I aim to keep photographs natural and authentic, but additional adjustments can be made where appropriate. I also offer restoration work for selected old, damaged or faded photographs.

Do you provide RAW or unedited files?

‍RAW and unedited files are not normally delivered. The editing process is an important part of my photographic work and ensures that the final images reflect the intended visual style and quality. Clients receive carefully selected and professionally finished photographs.

Prints, Licensing & Usage

Can I use the photographs commercially or in a publication?

‍Usage rights depend on the type of assignment and the agreed purpose of the photographs. Personal portrait photography and commercial or editorial licensing have different requirements. Usage, publication and licensing terms will be agreed before or as part of the project where necessary.

‍Copyright remains with the photographer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Can I purchase Fine Art Prints of your photography?

‍Yes. Selected landscape, nature, urban and travel photographs are available as high-quality Fine Art Prints and Wall Art, including selected limited editions and custom sizes. If you see an image in my portfolio or Frame of Mind that you would like to own, please contact me to discuss available formats and options.

Can I license one of your existing photographs?

‍Yes. Selected photographs may be available for editorial, publishing, commercial or other licensed use. Please contact me with the image you are interested in, where it will be used, the intended duration and territory, and I can provide licensing information and a quotation.

Do you offer prints as well as digital photographs for commissioned sessions?

‍Yes. High-resolution digital photographs are normally included with commissioned photography, and print options can be discussed separately. Available print formats and materials depend on the project and intended use.

How can I follow your latest photography and stories?

‍You can explore my latest photography, travel stories and visual essays through Frame of Mind on this website. You can also subscribe to my newsletter or follow me on social media for new projects, publications, journeys and photography updates.

Still have a question?
