The Story Behind the Lens

I’m a Budapest-based photographer working across portraits, events, and editorial projects with a focus on authentic storytelling.

A man holding a Nikon DSLR camera with a strap, wearing a gray T-shirt, standing indoors in front of a red and gray background, with reflections of lights in the environment.
A man wearing sunglasses, a red jacket, and a backpack sitting on snow-covered rocks with snowy mountains in Nepal and blue sky in the background.
A man with short dark hair and a beard, smiling while looking over his shoulder, holding a camera with a large telephoto lens outdoors.

I have worked with clients and publications in Budapest, throughout Hungary and internationally. My approach combines documentary sensitivity with a strong visual style, shaped by more than two decades of photography, travel and storytelling.

I believe the most powerful images are those that feel real — not staged or forced, but true to the moment.

I began my photography career in 2002 with a 44-day expedition through Nepal and Tibet, where I documented the people, landscapes and cultures of the Himalayas, including the Solu Khumbu region and Lhasa.

Since then, photography and travel have remained closely connected in my work. I am drawn to the stories found in people, places and landscapes — from intimate portraits and urban scenes to remote landscapes and documentary moments.

I also work as a writer, combining photography with first-hand travel experiences and visual storytelling through Frame of Mind, my personal photography journal.
